Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware & software support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software upgrades/issues within our Microsoft environment.
- System performance: Test, evaluate, and address system performance issues.
- Data analysis: Analyse system data to identify performance improvements.
- Task automation: Use basic scripting to automate tasks and enhance efficiency.
- Maintenance & security: Conduct routine maintenance and follow strict security procedures to protect sensitive information.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Essential qualifications: Grade C/4 or above in maths and English.
- Technical skills: Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networks, and security; strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Customer focus: Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction; previous customer service experience is desirable.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies; driving license desirable or willingness to obtain one.
