This is a fantastic opportunity to join Appleby Grammar School as a Teaching Assistant apprentice! Within this role you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and qualified staff while supporting students who have additional learning needs.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Supporting students within whole class teaching
- Delivering planned learning activities to small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Keeping detailed and accurate records of student's participation and progress
- Supporting the academic, social and emotional development of the students
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all of our students
- Communicating clearly with all staff members

Your training plan
This Level 3 apprenticeship is expected to last a period of between 12 –18 months.
You will attend live tutor led sessions 2 days every month (1 day every other week which will be via Zoom) and participate in online interactive learning via our bespoke innovative platform OLLIE.
Your Tutor will also visit you in the workplace for 1-2-1 Tutor sessions during the programme.
