A pharmacy in Birtley, near Chester Le Street, are hoping to recruit a hardworking candidate to work within their team of professionals, as an Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant. You will be carrying out online customer service and learning about pharmacy specific duties such as dispensing medicine and stock rotation.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Delivery of customer service
- Dispensing of medication to patients
- Over counter sales of non-prescription medication
- Check and monitor prescription slips
- Health & Safety responsibility
- Observing COVID restrictions and guidelines
- Use of patient record systems and use of smart card
- Data entry relating to medication
- Labelling and dispensing
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Numerate
- Working within a team environment
- Liaison with doctors' surgery and health professionals
