Summary
A terrific opportunity has arisen for an individual to work within a busy Commercial Vehicle Service Department. As a proactive member of the dealership's team, you will be required to contribute towards an efficient operation in the Service Department, always ensuring customer satisfaction.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will have the opportunity to work in different departments to gain a full understanding of the whole operational processes of the business.
The ideal candidate for this role will need to be enthusiastic and well organised.
- Can communicate in a courteous and professional manner
- Have good computer and communication skills
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance are a must
Main duties will include:
- Reporting to the Senior Service Advisor and Service Manager
- Responsibilities, the day to day running of the Service Department
- Working on various computer systems, SAP, ASSIST, IDM, GGAPD, ANS & Time Management
- Administrative duties
- Speaking and liaising with customers by phone and email
As part of your contract of employment, completion of the Apprenticeship Training Programme forms part of your duties as well as helping your personal and professional development; the requirements to complete the programme are as follows:
- Attend and be punctual for all inductions, lessons and work-based training/support sessions
- Complete all required assignments
- Build up your portfolio of evidence on-going
- Access support from your tutor, assessor and manager, when required

The role of a customer service practitioner is to deliver high-quality products and services to the customers of their organisation.
Your core responsibility will be to provide a high-quality service to customers.
The standard covers the following:

You will complete an End Point Assessment this will involve the following:
- Showcase/Portfolio
- Interview
- Practical Observation
- Professional Discussion
You are given time off, one day per week to study; you are required to attend Kirklees College, Huddersfield Centre each Wednesday and you will also attend other meetings via Teams to complete work for your apprenticeship.

Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- Maths and English (grade 4/C)
Desirable qualifications
BTEC or equivalent in:
- ICT (grade Pass, Merit or Distinction)
