This is a fantastic engineering apprenticeship opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work within a dynamic engineering company based in Long Eaton. As a machinist you will be setting/programming machinery/equipment, meeting standards of quality/quality procedures and achieving throughout/scheduling requirements.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Setting/programming of machinery/equipment
- Productive running of machinery/equipment
- Meeting standards of quality/quality procedures
- Achieving throughout/scheduling requirements
- Ensuring equipment/work area is safe, clean and tidy
- Assist in the development of equipment and process of ongoing improvement
- Ensuring good communication and teamwork
- Follow company policies and guidelines
- To read and understand all work instructions, drawings and inspection reports

- You will be expected to work towards the Machining Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group
- Full on job training and day release to college
Your apprenticeship will include:
- Level 3 Extended Diploma in Machining (Development knowledge)
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade 4/C or above)
- Maths (grade 4/C or above)
- Science (grade 4/C or above)
Desirable qualifications
A Level in:
- Maths (grade C or above)
- Physics (grade Pass)
