To assist the team and be developed in the operation of CNC machines within the furniture department.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Assist in the setup of CNC machines, including loading tools and materials

  • Develop skills to be able to operate: CNC (pyramid roller), CNC wire, XYZ CNC milling machine and CNC controlled press brake

  • Observe and learn how to read technical drawings and 1.1 drawings

  • Assist in monitoring the machining process and making adjustments as directed

  • Learn how to perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines

  • Help inspect finished products for quality assurance

  • Assist in troubleshooting and reporting any machine issues

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies

  • Adhere to all HR policies and procedures

  • When necessary, carry out other reasonable requests to undertake tasks in the furniture department and/or other areas of the business
