This is not just an apprenticeship, it’s an opportunity for those of all ages and backgrounds to start their career in the world of artisan baking. We'll teach you everything we know about the bakery, from learning traditional bakery methods (from the best bakers in town), to understanding how we package & transport our products to our customers!

The salary is based on 42.5 hours working week. The payment per hour is £11.50.

We are proud to offer full-time, permanent contracts. You will be working 5 days out of 7 which may include weekends. 42.5 hours per week (if you are above 18 years),or 37.5 Hours per week (if you are between 16 and 18 years old).

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Your apprenticeship includes:
- A mixture of on and off-the-job training, including workshops, masterclasses, and webinars. Including traveling to Plumpton College at least once per month.
- A mixture of face-to-face and online catch-ups.
- A Review every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and the Training Provider.
- An opportunity to obtain Functional Skills in English and Math's (if you don't already have the GCSEs).
- The baking industry – Specifically the artisan/craft division
- The bakery supply chain, from ingredients to dispatching to customers.
- The new product development process
Bakery methods (bread, cake pastry) - How to safely work machinery, such as mixers and industrial ovens
- How to produce products that are safe to consume
Managing supplies - Finishing products e.g. labeling
