To assist the Nursery Manager to provide leadership and management of the nursery and to help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- To act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead in the nursery
- Leading by example and supporting staff development
- Lead and support the team ensuring high standards of care and education
- Manage staffing and ratios
- Confident in delegating tasks and giving responsibilities to staff
- Understand and ensure the requirements of the EYFS and OFSTED and other regulatory bodies are met
- Ensure all staff have a clear understanding of and adhere to the Nursery’s policies and procedures
- Providing support and guidance to volunteers, new staff, students and apprentices
- To act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead in the nursery
