What you’ll do at work
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Sales Advisor Apprentice to join our team in Bolton. We are looking for someone to assist in the day to day running of the store, who is hard-working, conscientious and passionate about contributing towards the smooth and professional delivery of products to customers and Indespension Head Office based in Horwich.
- You must have a full UK Driving licence (you should have held this for a minimum 12 months)
- Be over the age of 21 years old
Counter responsibilities:
- Actively sell (face to face and over the telephone) and promote Indespension trailers/parts/associated equipment ensuring correct procedures are followed
- Serve customers politely and efficiently either at the counter or on the telephone, providing professional and timely advice on trailers/services and towing accessories
- Advise and take orders for trailer hire and tow bar fitting updating the diary accordingly
- Liaise with the workshop team as required
- Ensure all stock orders received are shelved at the earliest opportunity and are presented safely, tidily and in an attractive manner. Displays should be updated and maintained regularly to maximise customer interest under the guidance of the Branch Manager/Supervisor
- Liaise with the Store Workshop to ensure they are kept supplied with a steady workload
- Assist with stock takes as required
- Keep work area tidy and operate within the Health and Safety policy of the Company
- Wear the Company uniform at all times and uphold the Indespension Brand
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Process the daily cash paperwork and prepare banking including petty cash and maintain accurate filing systems under the guidance of Branch Manager/Supervisor
- Raise invoices/credit notes accurately for purchases/goods returned
- Ensure payment for goods is received prior to releasing goods and/or credit approval obtained
- Report any discrepancies (monetary or otherwise) to the Branch Manager/Supervisor immediately
- Perform any other duties deemed reasonable on request
To become an apprentice, you must:
- Be 16 or over
- Not already be in full-time education
- You can start an apprenticeship whether you’re starting your career, want a change or you're upskilling in your current job. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship
As an apprentice you’ll:
- Have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
- Learn and train for a specific job
- Get paid and receive holiday leave
- Get hands-on experience in a real job
- Study for at least 20% of your working hours
- Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
- Be on a career path with lots of future potential

- Maintain good merchandising to meet the needs of the business whilst ensuring safety.
- Maintain stock levels and storage conditions such as correct temperature, lighting, ventilation, packaging to meet customer demand and minimise stock loss.
- Use technology and applications to support sales and service ensuring that maintenance issues are reported.
- Support team and colleague development through buddying and/or coaching.
- Comply with regulations and legislation relevant to their role and business.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities which focus on improving sustainability within the business.
- Handle complaints within remit or escalate as appropriate.
- Support sales across a range of promotional events throughout the calendar year.

Your training plan
Level 2 Retailer Apprenticeship Standard:
- Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentice’s chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English
- Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Inspiro's regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment
- The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role
- Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment

After this apprenticeship
