Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Support with patient consultations
- Dispensing medicine (after training)
- General admin
- Dealing with counter and phone enquiries
- Use of the computer and the pharmacy specific software
- Checking off and unpacking orders
- Stock management
- Date checking of stock
- Processing NHS prescriptions

About this company
Periville Chemist opened in May 1979 on the Willows Estate and has always been an independent and locally family owned pharmacy. As demand grew, the pharmacy acquired a second pharmacy on Cromwell Road Grimsby, which then relocated to the Cromwell Road Primary Care Centre, and a third in Hainton Avenue which relocated to Ladysmith Road, Weelsby View Healthcare Centre.
