Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our network engineering department. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both network engineering and desktop support, assisting our help desk when required. You will work alongside a skilled team supporting our clients' networks and systems while developing technical skills.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points)
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of VoIP telephony systems (on- premises and cloud-based)
- Provide desktop support to end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity
- Assist with onsite installation of cables and accessories as part of network deployment
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted operation
- Collaborate with senior engineers on network design and implementation projects
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures
- Assist the help desk with resolving IT support tickets when necessary

Training will be delivered by Ginger Nut Training. Ginger Nut's delivery is based on a remote, blended model of one-to-one sessions every 4 weeks, group sessions, webinars, online courses, video tutorials, and additional support as required. This means learners have the guidance they need as well as the flexibility to learn around the requirements of their jobs. We find that this approach reduces disruption for the learners and their line managers giving everyone the best chance of benefitting from the training and completing the course.
