Dolphin IT Solutions Ltd. Is looking to recruit a new member to our helpdesk support team. The role will be for an IT Technical Support Officer who will be tasked with offering 1st line support for our growing list of support clients.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As an IT Support Technician, you will:
The duties you will be expected to perform to the best of your ability will include (but may not be limited to):
- Keep computer systems running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from them.
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Talk clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
- Support the roll-out of new applications.
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
- Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate).
- Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time.
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers.
- Flexibility to support various shift patterns.

- Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
- Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
- Support the information systems needs for your business.

Essential qualifications
Other in:
- 5 GCSE's including English and Maths (grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent)

We currently have a small team of developers and consultants and do all our development in house. We are a full IT project lifecycle delivery company who puts quality of service to clients at the top of our priorities. Due to a strong period of new sales and client engagement we are re-investing in the business development growth and as part of that investment we need to increase the number support technicians.
