Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- To receive, issue, and dispatch parts and products into and from the Sierra CP stores
- To maintain, organise and tidy stores areas so that parts are easily identified and located
- Receive goods into stores
- Issue consumables to the shop floor
- Kit parts for machine builds
- Pack items for dispatch
- Maintain clean and orderly work area
- Perform other duties as assigned by Purchasing Coordinator

- Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 qualification - Intermediate Apprenticeship
- Training provided by an in-house Learning & Development Team
Support from an external training provider - 15-month programme including a minimum 12-month learning period plus end point assessment
- Apprentices without Level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level and take the test for Level 2 English and maths prior to taking the end-point assessment and completing the apprenticeship

About this company
Sierra CP Engineering Ltd design and manufacture test products & systems for propulsion, power train, vehicle, and component test systems at their facility in Malvern (soon to move to Worcester). The company was founded in 1983 and is undergoing a period of growth and change. Sierra CP Engineering supplies systems ranging from a new control and data logging system for an existing test cell through to a new turn key test cell complete with dynamometer, cooling systems, measurement equipment including integrated cell support infrastructure and independent safety protection solutions. This Apprenticeship is supported by Nova Training, they have centres across the West Midlands. They, coupled with Sierra CP Engineering will give the individual the opportunity to be successful in achieving a qualification in "Supply Chain Warehouse Operative (Level 2)". All training is in house, and the training provider makes monthly visits to build up their portfolio to achieve certification. Although we are currently based in Malvern, we are moving to a much larger site at Worcester Six WR4 0AD Summer 2024. Here at Sierra CP Engineering, we actively promote engineering apprenticeships and support our trainees enabling them to flourish. We need someone who demonstrates a good work ethic, keenness to learn and hungry to secure the first stage of their working career.
