Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Taking the lead on sorting out and fixing issues right away, and figuring out how to stop them from happening again
- Looking at requests for changes to applications and making the necessary technical adjustments to meet those needs
- Learning how to write SQL queries to quickly get the data needed for special requests
- Helping coordinate between internal teams and external service providers to manage application maintenance and rollouts
- Supporting the testing of application features, including how they work with other systems (APIs)
- Keeping up-to-date with current systems and improving the documentation, including creating user-friendly self-help guides
- Picking up new technologies and spotting ways to improve applications
- Assisting the IT Service Desk in boosting the rate of first-time fixes and enhancing issue sorting processes
