Summary
This role encompasses the preparation of weekly payment runs to a number of services and day-to-day management of inboxes, telephone and internal queries, management and maintenance of accounts across several systems, and posting of purchase ledger documents.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Daily duties:

To work under the direction of the line manager to administer queries and prepare payment runs

Process purchase ledger documentation
-
Proactively handle enquiries, delivering excellent customer service by responding to all queries within agreed service level agreements

Proactively work alongside North Somerset Council in-house teams

Update and maintain relevant finance and accounting systems

Review and update procedure guides ensuring continuous process improvement

Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and associated codes or practices, and to complete regular online training sessions
