Due to expansion and continued growth, we are looking to expand our site operative team and want to offer this opportunity to someone who is looking to grow within the organisation and create a career for themselves as a stevedore.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
During your apprenticeship you can expect to get involved in and learn the following:
- Discharging vessels
- Slinging
- Tallying
- Chocking
- Cargo handling
- Bagging and blending
- Operation of plant machinery
You can expect to be trained initially on a forklift truck and will get training on more mobile plant as your career develops with us.

NW Trading has been operating for 25 years. The Company was started on 1st July 1999, by a local businessman, who still retains a 100% shareholding in the business. We currently operate out of several major UK ports including Birkenhead on the West Coast and Hull and Goole on the East Coast. After this apprenticeship
On completion of the apprenticeship there is a full-time role to progress as a Stevedore.
