Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Working alongside experienced craftsmen and technicians to learn all details of traditional and modern upholstery techniques, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with Cutting and Sewing fabrics for upholstered furniture pieces.
- Attaching foams/fabrics/paddings/suspensions using various modern and traditional techniques including buttoning.
- Learning how to operate and maintain upholstery equipment.
- Helping to assemble and finish upholstered furniture products.
- Understanding quality control procedures and ensuring products meet Sofas and Stuff required quality control.
