Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Shadowing technology and art class teachers
- Supporting with moving equipment
- Start to build relationships with pupils
- Supporting with practical lessons
- Assisting targeted pupils
- Input data using IT systems
- Completing CLEAPSS training
- Deliver a starter or plenary activity in selected classes
- Communicate, plan and help organise curriculum systems
- Establish relationships and communicate with parents
- Deliver art and technology lessons to a small group of pupils (intervention work)
- Contribute to the wider school community
- Understanding health and safety and legal requirements (COSHH and CLEAPS)
- Working with and managing relationships with both children and adults
- Time management skills
- Adhere to school policies

Essential qualifications
