Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Marketing and Social Media Executive to join the team. The successful candidate will work closely with the management team to create engaging social media and web content. They will be responsible for creation of marketing assets and assist with marketing and PR campaigns.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

• Create regular social media postings on, but not limited to, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram

• Assist with PR campaigns targeting local and national media

• Creation and publication of content for the Poultec and group websites

• Monitor web traffic and assist with the identification of keywords to assist with Search Engine Optimisation

• Creation of copywriting for use in printed promotional material

• Capture and edit – or source external - event photography and video

• Assist with creation of advertisements and promotional materials and other adhoc graphic design tasks such as ad-hoc posters and signage

• Assist with planning and hosting of promotional events, such as trade shows, fairs and careers events – and attend selected events

• Assist with the creation of mass-mailings to promote the organisation and its training courses to new and existing clients

• Assist with the creation of branded teaching materials

• Assist with the posting of training courses on third-party websites/directories

• Carry out other duties as may from time to time be required by your employer necessary to meet the needs of the business

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

    Apprenticeship training will be delivered by Ginger Nut Training. Ginger Nut's delivery is based on a remote, blended model of one-to-one sessions every 4 weeks, group sessions, webinars, online courses, video, and additional support as required. This means that our learners have the guidance they need as well as the flexibility to learn around the requirements of their jobs. We find that this approach reduces disruption for the learners and their line managers giving everyone the best chance of benefitting from the training and completing the course.
