Summary

SMH BCL Accountants are looking for a Business Administrator Apprentice to join our successful team in Leeds. You will be dealing with all aspects of administration whilst working towards a Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

General administration duties including:

  • Dealing with clients on the phone/in person and by email
  • Preparing letters and invoices
  • Dealing with client enquires and queries
  • Managing the general mailbox email account
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  • Scanning and forwarding incoming post to the relevant team for action
  • Franking the outgoing post and taking to the post box
  • Assisting with the onboarding new clients including Anti Money
  • Laundering checks
  • Liaising with HMRC (both client and general queries)
  • Preparing the meeting room for client meetings including providing client refreshments
  • Managing office supplies and stationery and ordering where necessary

Introduction to Company Secretarial including: 

  • Confirmation Statements 
  • Company Formations (Full training provided) 
  • Assisting the wider team and providing administrative support where required

  • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
  • Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
  • Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
  • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
  • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

    GCSE in:

    • English (grade 4 / C and above)
    • Maths (grade 4 / C and above)
