Summary
You will be part of a team based at the Call Centre but may be expected to work across other Teldoc sites. Handling calls from patients, carers, members of the public, healthcare professionals and third parties. Updating the EMIS computer system as appropriate and following protocols and procedures to respond to callers’ questions and requests.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- To be the first point of contact for all visitors and patients
- To book in patients and visitors in accordance with practice appointments and visitors procedures
- Booking and amending patient appointments
- Answer telephone calls and whenever possible complete calls within the defined average time frame, manage these calls in a controlled and professional manner
- Ensure accurate collection of demographic details of patient/ caller. Record information in the supplied EMIS software in an accurate and timely fashion
