Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The following duties listed below are some of the core duties expected to be carried out by a heating and ventilation technician:
- Understand and carry out safe working practices in Building Services Engineering
- Understand how to apply scientific principles, communicate and environmental protections measures in Building Services Engineering
- Understand and carry out pipework fabrication techniques for industrial and commercial systems
- Understand industrial and commercial hot and cold water system installation techniques
- Install industrial and commercial heating and ventilating systems.
- Understand and apply testing and commissioning principles to Industrial and Commercial piped systems
