• Salary from £16,000 – £22,000 depending on experience. • After 12 months you will be eligible to move to our full pay scales (on or above £23,500)

Monday – Friday 9am to 5.30pm Every other Saturday – 9am to 1pm (equivalent 39.5 hr week)

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Paraplanner to join a busy team within Seeker Financial Planning Ltd who are a highly successful Appointed Representative of St. James’s Place Wealth Management Plc.

The practice has been born out of its sister company – Mortgage Advice Bureau (and still shares office with MAB). MAB found after 25 years of helping 1000’s of customers with their mortgages they also needed help with their pensions and investments too, and therefore we created Seeker Financial Planning so we could fully cover all our customers financial needs. We can see huge potential growth for the business and for our early employees who join us on this journey. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a reputable firm who believe in employee development and offer genuine scope for progression.

As part of a growing Paraplanning team, you will be providing vital paraplanning support to the Partner and a team of wealth Advisers;
researching products, investment strategies and financial planning solutions,
completing tax calculations,
preparing financial planning and recommendation reports for client meetings, including provision of a high level of technical support.
You will need to ensure that the business obtained is being processed compliantly and in a timely manner involving work with internal processing systems.

Course contents

Quality service delivery: Consistently develops and delivers excellent service to customers, colleagues & advisers, supporting the products & services provided and adhering to TCF principles at all times. Has excellent attention to detail & provides a quality assurance check for the adviser firm.

Customer communication & relationships: Develops effective and enduring relationships with customers & key contacts through effective verbal/written/IT skills. Can handle & resolve issues. Can write reports that includes the necessary technical language but articulates in a way that client’s understand.

Team working & collaboration: Understands role within team & impact on others. Consistently endeavours to support colleagues & collaborate to achieve results.

Planning & prioritising: Demonstrates relevant level of skills to be able to provide thorough research & analysis. Can plan & prioritise work effectively in order to deliver good outcomes for both the customer & the business.

Using systems & processes: Consistently adheres to systems & processes using proficient IT skills, including risk, regulatory and governance requirements.

The Certificate in Paraplanning includes:
R01 Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics
CF1 can be delivered instead of R01, depending on circumstances
R02 Investment Principles and Risk
R03 Personal Taxation
J09 Paraplanning
Fortnightly workshops for each R0 exam
All workshops recorded and available on-demand
Interactive chat, forums and class note books for real time support and assistance from experienced financial services professionals
