Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Practical experience working under a conscientious and adept decorator on domestic and commercial projects across the North Yorkshire area.
Preparation tasks such as:
● Sanding
● Filling
● Priming
● Undercoating
Painting and decorating tasks:
● Painting interior walls and woodwork
● Painting exterior woodwork and masonry
● Wallpaper and lining paper hanging.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Block release sessions at York College (2 weeks in college at a time, 11 weeks per year between November and July). Remainder of training takes place in the workplace.

GCSE in:
