Summary
The apprentice will deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years. The successful candidate will ensure that the preschool nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others. The apprentice will also develop positive partnerships with parents/carers & be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Management team and complete the apprenticeship.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- The apprentice will be working alongside an experienced staff member
- Undertake specific tasks related to the safety and hygiene of the children and the cleanliness of the setting. This should be done in a respectful way that's appropriate for the child's needs, stage of development, and dignity
- Planning and carrying out learning programs for children, such as activities, reading, and educational games. These programs should be appropriate for the children's needs and developmental stage
- Working with parents to share information about their child's needs and progress. This can include communicating daily about their child's activities
- Working as part of a team, attending meetings, and sharing ideas.
- Supporting all staff and engaging in a good team spirit
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, and ensuring child welfare, protection, health, safety, and safeguarding policies are followed

Please be aware that our nursery has no links to the local transport network and you will need to drive to access our setting.
About this company
We are a busy private own day nursery located in a small village. We are registered for children from 3 months to 5 years and we are open 7.30am - 6pm, 5 days a week, for 51 weeks in a year.
After this apprenticeship
- At the end of the apprentice programme, you could be offered a permanent position in our nursery or a new training qualification
