Summary
Woods Furniture Group in Yorkshire are recruiting for an Apprentice in Wood Machining. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Wood Machining which will take approximately 24 months.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Carry out regular machine checks at the start of each shift and report any problems to the Team Leader
- Operate machinery in accordance with safety procedures
- Check product requirements and materials and set up machinery
- Ensure machines are running correctly and undertake quality checks, correcting any problems if practicable, advising the Team Leader
- Carry out regular cleaning of machinery
- Calculate measurements for offsets
- Responsible for handling products and tools carefully
- Ensuring the work area is clean, tidy and safe
- Must meet expected speeds of production
