Level 2 Commis Chef apprentice wanted to work in a friendly, independently owned relaxed and informal pub/restaurant offering fresh home cooked food. Excellent opportunity to train as a chef in a friendly supportive environment and develop knowledge, skills and behaviours over the course of apprenticeship and potentially progress to Level 3.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Helping in preparation of all dishes
- Kitchen tasks, peeling, storing, cleaning, preparing
- Learning how to present dishes
- Helping in preparation of desserts and pastries
- Making, stocks, soups and sauces
- Fridge management
- Receiving and storing provisions
- All cleaning tasks

On completion, the successful candidate will gain a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship Standard, awarded by City and Guilds.
Majority of the training will take place in the workplace (Holloways) with a one day per week release to Heart of Worcestershire College, Worcester campus.

GCSE or equivalent in:

- Maths (grade 2)
Desirable qualifications
Other in:
- Driving License (grade Full)
