Summary

Emma Forsyth Equestrian have a position available for an apprentice to join their team and support with general running of their busy commercial yard. Emma Forsyth is a former 5 star event rider, UKCCL3 coach with BE, and also a List 4 BD Judge - and has the knowledge and experience to give the successful candidate the best chance to succeed.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

Riding is possible for a suitably capable jockey. General duties will include:

  • Lunging
  • Feeding
  • Grooming
  • Mucking Out
  • Turning out

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training plan

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)

Other requirements

Must have previous experience with large horses. Livery for own horse is available but unfortunately no accommodation is available. Candidate must be honest and self motivated to work to a high standard in industry time. A cheerful person who has a true love for horses and is willing to offer them the best of care at all times. You must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU for 3 years or more.
