Summary
Accountant assistant role to assist with accounting tasks. This is an ideal opportunity which help candidates to start to build their future career in accounting through the apprenticeship programme. Duties will include; Updating and reconciling nominal ledgers, maintaining purchase ledgers. Cash flow and payroll duties.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Entering invoices and receipts on an accounting software
- Dealing with Payroll
- General admin duties handling emails, answering telephone calls/enquires, filing away client's documents and setting up initial meetings with clients

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Course contents
- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

Your training plan
The apprentice will get theoretical training with us working towards a Level 2 AAT Foundation Certificate qualification doing 5 exams and an EPA discussion, while gaining experience 4 days per with with an employer.
- The apprentice will gain a Level 2 AAT Certificate
- The training will take place at: London, SE14 5BE
- The training will be 1 day per week at the above location
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade 4-9; A*-C)
- Maths (grade 4-9; A*-C)
