Summary

MTB Monster are looking for an Accountancy apprentice to join their team. This role will be to work under the guidance of our finance and administration team to gain a Level 2 AAT qualification in Accounting. MTB Monster specialise in selling and maintaining some of the worlds best mountain and electric bikes, based in Mellor, Blackburn.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Course contents
  • Record transactional data.
  • Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
  • Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
  • Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
  • Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
  • Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)

Here at MTB Monster, we specialise in selling & maintaining some of the worlds best mountain bikes and electric bikes. Our showroom & repair centre is based along the A59 in Mellor, Blackburn. From here we ship bikes nationwide and have an outstanding reputation for customer service. From the onset we have always believed in the value that apprentices can bring to our workplace. The vast majority of our team have either once been an apprentice or are currently in funded education (from Level 2 to Degree Level Qualifications).
