Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Greeting clients
- Ensuring clients are comfortable, taking their coat and making them welcome
- Making refreshments for clients
- Sweeping up
- Cleaning the secions in between clients
- Cleaning the salon and staff room
- Shampooing hair

Training at our Southampton salon with all of our stylists and technicians are involved in your practical training and everyone understands how important it is that you grow and develop. You will be working closely with some of hairdressings most talented trainers in a really supportive environment.

Other requirements
Hairdressing might sound glamorous, and can be a lucrative and rewarding career, but it is hard work and can be physically demanding. After this apprenticeship
- During your final year of training we run a Haringtons Development programme to get you ready to hit the floor, build your own clientelle and have absolute confidence with products and upselling services
- Our apprentices have gone on to become trainers themselves, achieved high levels in salon management and even become franchisees within the Haringtons group
