Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
You will be part of a large team of electrical and mechanical technicians carrying out the final manufacturing stages on a variety of train and metro systems, the first being the replacement for the London Underground Piccadilly line.
This is the first Siemens Mobility rolling stock manufacturing facility in the UK and is expectant to undergo a significant period of expansion over the next decade, providing a great deal of growth and career opportunities.
Duties will include:
- You will ensure that that safety is a priority as you assembly our state of the art zero emission trains in our purpose built facility.
- Work in a safe and effective environment to help build an amazing working environment,
- Becoming a Rolling Stock Manufacturing expert within our state of the art Assembly Facility, utilising the latest techniques and tools
- Building the next generation of zero emission Metro and Commuter Rail trains in the heart of the East Riding of Yorkshire, taking advantage of the opportunities available within a global company with over 300,000 employee

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
