Summary
Eaton MEDC are looking to train an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer. You will be part of a busy maintenance team and will report to the maintenance supervisor. You will receive training in all areas of the role and will be given the time to study towards a Level 2 qualification.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Perform maintenance tasks including the replacement of parts including pipes, valves and filters.
- Conduct mechanical maintenance including the replacement of parts such as bearings, drive chains and sprockets.
- Handle electrical maintenance tasks including fault finding and replacement of switches, sensors, stop/start buttons, and photocells.
- Conduct hydraulic maintenance including the replacement of parts such as pumps, hoses, valves, seals and coolant management.
- Perform routine servicing of machinery including visual checks, monitoring oil levels and greasing moving parts.
- Diagnose and repair machinery breakdowns by identifying faults and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Conduct fault diagnosis
- Perform monthly health and safety checks.
- Assist with installations across the plant.
