Summary
We are looking for an apprentice to teach, and work with, in the field of sheet metal working and manufacturing. This person will learn a range of skills from understanding drawings and customer requirements, to the production and manufacture of a variety of metal components.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- As a member of our team you will work in the manufacture of sheet metal components.
- You will be able to work as part of a team or on your own where necessary.
- You will be taught to understand engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications.
- You will learn how to correctly use hand and power tools as well as learning the use of a variety of machinery.
- You will become competent with the use of drills, milling machines and lathes.
- You will become competent with the use of a variety of CNC machines including laser cutting, punching and folding metal.
- You will also become competent in the MIG and TIG welding of a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
- You will also learn to finish work to the high standards required and work to deadlines.
