Summary
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career in a specialised industry as a Polymer Processing Operator. We are partnered with a global, industry-leading chemical / silicone production company who are keen to invest in an apprentice to join their growing team.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Operate the manufacturing process to the required quality and safety standards and relevant operating procedures
- Maintain required standards of plant housekeeping to ensure safe and efficient working practices for all
- Compliance with standards for quality and consumption of material
- Routine batch manufacture
- Perform in-process testing of batches being manufactured

Your training plan
This is a 3-year apprenticeship in the training to run production assets and ancillary equipment / facilities combined with apprenticeship day release both online and in person on site. You’ll become a multifaceted professional with exposure to the full process of silicone production, whilst gaining a competitive L3 Polymer Processing Technician apprenticeship providing an overall industry education from expert in the field.
- You will gain a L3 Polymer Processing Apprenticeship with the potential to gain additional qualifications as you progress
- You will carry out training onsite in Momentive conference room
- You will do training on block release
- Functionals skills in English and maths if required
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English Language and Maths (grade Grade 5/B or higher)
