Summary
The Birmingham Valuation team undertake valuations and property appraisals which are provided to leading commercial lenders, occupiers, investors, property companies, pension funds, Government departments and public corporations. We cover a wide variety of sectors such as office, industrial, retail and residential.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Throughout this role you will be assisting the valuations team in the following ways:
- Formulating commercial and residential valuation reports for clients
- Undertaking detailed inspections of buildings, land or construction
- Following due diligence in providing advice to clients
- Providing professional advice and recommendations to clients relating to land, property or construction
- Managing client instructions from engagement to completion
- Sourcing both capital and rental comparable properties to aid valuation reports
- Forming relationships with local sales and rental agents

Your training plan
- 5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled at the beginning of your 3rd year at University) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an RICS qualification.
- On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully.

GCSE in:
- English and Maths (grade Level 4 (Grade C) or above)
- minimum of (grade 96 UCAS points)
