Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles
- Oil/service changes
- Fluid level checks
- Tyre inspections, rotation & change
- Replace brake pads & discs
- Replace wheel bearings, sensors and other parts
- Prepared to get additional certification as needed
- Learn and develop practical skills
- Participating in classes and workshops on and offsite
- Observing all health and safety codes
- Completing tests and assignments

You will be completing the Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3 Standard Apprenticeship, attending college one day a week for your workshop.
Maths and English Functional Skills Level 2 if required.
