Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Join us as a Manufacturing Degree Apprentice on our 3-year programme (3 years in England / 4 years in Scotland) and work across a variety of manufacturing teams to gain an understanding of equipment, processes and technologies. Gain hands-on experience, learning from skilled team members from all areas of the site. Day-to-day tasks that you will be responsible for could include:
- Running production lines and leading our production teams
- Providing support at our Flowerworld site at peak trading times, such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day
- Finding solutions to improve the efficiency of production lines

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

As well as learning on-the-job, if in England, you’ll also be studying towards a Bsc (Hons) in Chartered Management at the University of Bradford, or a BA (Hons) Business Management Degree Apprenticeships with University of Strathclyde if in Scotland. Balancing work and a degree course will be challenging. To support your learning, we'll offer study leave to complete university work stress free. At the end of the 3-year scheme, Apprentices could be prepared for a Shift Manager role on one of our sites and have gained a full chartered membership of the CMI (Chartered Management Institute).

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (or equivalent) (grade Grade 4)
- Maths (or equivalent) (grade Grade 4)
- Any (grade 112 UCAS points)
