Summary
New Zealand event rider is based just outside Godalming. We are a small fun team of three offering a fourth member to join the team and be shown the ropes into a professional international event yard.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The successful candidate will be put through their learning modules to the highest standard with lots of opportunity to gain experience and training on and off the yard at competitions.
General yard duties to include;
- Mucking out
- Turning out/bringing in
- Feeding/hay/water
- Tacking up
- Tack cleaning
- Hacking for right candidate
You must have experience and ideally have looked after your own horse.
There is the possibility to bring your own horse for the right candidate.

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training plan
You will be working towards achieving your Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship.
You will also complete your level 1 or 2 maths and/or English Functional Skills qualifictions if required.
All training will be provided at the employers address with the employer and Haddon training.

GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
