What you will do in your working day
- Apprentices work alongside skilled fabricators to assist in fabricating, assembling, and finishing metal components and structures.
- This includes tasks such as cutting, bending, welding, and grinding metal pieces.
- Learning Basic Skills: Apprentices start by learning the fundamentals of metal fabrication, using hand and power tools, and understanding different welding techniques.
- Apprentices will be operating various metalworking machines and equipment, such as saws, drills, mills, and CNC machines, to manufacture parts for Olympic and leisure class rowing boats
The training you will be getting
- L2 Engineering Operative qualification (Welding pathway).

- Functional Skills in English and Maths up to Level 2, as required.
