What you will do in your working day
Typical day to day duties will include;
- Installing, maintaining and repairing engines
- Carry out scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance alongside a very experienced colleague
- Managing workshop space
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and appropriately stored
- Keeping working areas tidy and clean
The training you will be getting
L3 Marine Engineer.
After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge all apprentices will be required to achieve a level 2 Diploma in Marine Engineering (Foundation) and level 3 Diploma in Marine Engineering (Advanced) before taking the end-point assessment.
