What you will do in your working day
As a Maintenance/Fitter Apprentice, you'll be initially responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
· Working on scissor lifts and hydraulic lifting equipment within a purpose built workshop;
· Accurately interpret CAD/technical drawings;
· Ensure correct marking up of component parts;
· Working to quality standards required for the components;
· Routing of cables for electrical wire control panel connections;
· Carrying out the assembly build to final factory sign off;
· Final factory connection of control panels and electrical wiring sign off - electrical competence;
· Maintaining a clean, organised and productive work area;
· Ensure job timings are met/exceeded.

The training you will be getting
The successful candidates will continue their studies with apprenticeship specialists, RNN Group at their Rotherham campus on a day release format, giving you the training and support you need to become an all-rounded and successful Engineer.
The Apprenticeship Standard you will be studying is; Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician – Electromechanical – Level 3.
