What you will do in your working day
In this apprenticeship you will work with experienced fabricators and welders to manufacture a range of products.
This will include:
- Use various welding techniques for the right application
- Use fabrication techniques to manufacture products
- Use engineering equipment in line with company policies
- Repair and service equipment brought in for this application
- Work in line with company health and safety guidelines
The training you will be getting
- The apprenticeship will provide fabrication and welding training, alongside Maths and English (if required)
- The qualification will see the candidate achieve an engineering operative skill and engineering operative knowledge qualification alongside an end point assessment
- As part of the apprenticeship the candidate will be required to attend college on day release as part of the qualification
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Once completed, candidates will be able to be recognised as a Level 2 competent fabricator / welder and will be able to progress into the world of work or to a higher qualification.
