    Share of tips, meals and hot/soft drinks provided whilst on shift, pay increases for exceptional performers and uniform provided.

    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

    40 hours per week on a shift basis, shifts are rotated between breakfast, lunch and evening service. Only one day per weekend worked.

What you will do in your working day

Duties will include but are not limited to; 

  • Setting up for meal service; breakfast, lunch or evening 
  • Food prep such as veg 
  • Preparing food during service 
  • Pot washing and keeping the kitchen clean 
  • Stock management 
  • Assist with the creation of specials 
  • Assist in menu development 

Any other duties that befit your role or add to your training 

The training you will be getting

Commis Chef Apprenticeship Level 2 

You will attend college weekly at the Buxton Campus, college transport is available, to spend time in the training kitchens and restaurant with other apprentices. You will also be regularly visited in the workplace by your college instructor-mentor.
