What you will do in your working day

Engineer trainee for:

  • Setting up
  • Servicing and repairing industrial machinery located throughout the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
  • Servicing and repairing machines used in tiling and landscaping work undertaken at our Appleton factory. 

The service engineer is also responsible for demonstrating machines and training clients’ staff in how to operate machines.

This role requires training in a variety of skills, including engineering/mechanics, servicing, basic electrics, record keeping, customer interactions.  Good command of spoken and written English is required to ensure effective communication of complex issues.

A clean driving licence is essential due to there being no public transport route and van could potentially be provided later in the apprnticeship.

The training you will be getting

On the job training and day release at Warrington & Vale Royal College working towards successful completion Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

A full-time position is envisaged after completion of the apprenticeship.

As this is a fairly new division within Aquacut Limited, we are confident their will be opportunities to grow into promoted positions as the business develops

Things to consider

Based at Appleton, Warrington but travel throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland will be required from time to time. Initially the apprentice will travel with their supervisor but in due course, they will be required to travel on their own.
