As part of the Drone Surveyor Apprenticeship, you will first be mentored by one of our Drone Operators to become a safe and efficient Drone Operator. You’ll operate to the letter of the law, adhere to our internal flight safety policies, and complete timely roof surveys across all our garrisons.

What you will do in your working day
- Adhere to ADSL’s Values and Standards complying with management policies and procedures
- Engage fully with Drone Operator and B&CE Surveyor mentor
- Complete mandatory training for General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) for UAV Operations
- Completing all aspects of the Level 3 Surveying Technician course in accordance with course providers objectives
- Operate the Drone safely and in accordance with associated legislation and ADSL UAV Operations Manual conducting aerial operations to undertake building surveys
- Contribute to condition reports by supplying B&CE Surveying Team with rooftop condition assessments
- Complete Drone Flight Operations administrative tasks
- Maintain the Drone Teams Operation Manual, keeping it up to date with current UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Regulations and UAV legislation
- Maintain the Drone and all associated UAV equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and legislation
- Ensure the Drone batteries are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the register is updated
The training you will be getting
- Surveying Technician Level 3
- Higher national certificate (HNC)
- Training will be delivered online via ESC, apprentice will need to travel to ESC for exams

Pathway to full-time Drone Operator at ADSL upon successful completion.
