What you will do in your working day

  • Adhere to ADSL’s Values and Standards complying with management policies and procedures
  • Engage fully with Drone Operator and B&CE Surveyor mentor
  • Complete mandatory training for General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) for UAV Operations
  • Completing all aspects of the Level 3 Surveying Technician course in accordance with course providers objectives
  • Operate the Drone safely and in accordance with associated legislation and ADSL UAV Operations Manual conducting aerial operations to undertake building surveys
  • Contribute to condition reports by supplying B&CE Surveying Team with rooftop condition assessments
  • Complete Drone Flight Operations administrative tasks
  • Maintain the Drone Teams Operation Manual, keeping it up to date with current UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Regulations and UAV legislation
  • Maintain the Drone and all associated UAV equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and legislation
  • Ensure the Drone batteries are maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the register is updated 

The training you will be getting

  • Surveying Technician Level 3
  • Higher national certificate (HNC)
  • Training will be delivered online via ESC, apprentice will need to travel to ESC for exams

Pathway to full-time Drone Operator at ADSL upon successful completion.
