What you will do in your working day

  • Bookkeeping for clients using a variety of accounting software (Xero, Quickbooks, Sage).
  • Payroll preparation Assistant with preparation of year end and management accounts for a wide variety of clients.
  • Assistance with preparation of tax returns for sole traders and partnerships.
  • Office duties including administration, filing, answering the telephone, scanning, meeting visitors as required.
  • Regular, appropriate communication with clients through conversations, emails, letters and face to face meetings.

The training you will be getting

  • Candidate will be expected to attend college working towards an AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting qualification.
  • Training will be given and you will be mentored by one of the partners and training will be tailored where possible to assist with completion of your course. 
  • Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.

  • The right candidate would always have potential for future progression at the firm if they chose to follow that path.

Things to consider

The role involves a lot of computer work, being sat at a desk for most of the day will be required for the role.
