What you will do in your working day

You will be in a customer facing position, representing the business and offering the highest customer service and recognising customer needs. Working as part of a team, you will be making sure each customer is well looked after.

Duties will include:

  • Serving and advising on a variety of drinks including alcohol and barista in an often-fast paced environment
  • There will be general housekeeping duties to ensure all areas are kept presentable
  • Occasionally you will need to attend team meetings to be aware of upcoming events and required training

There will be an opportunity to learn how the business runs, understand costs involved and the overall vision of the business.

A successful apprentice will be able to achieve the below at the end of the programme:

  • Strong business mind and the ability to manage profit loss, and have a solid understanding of margin management
  • Fully qualified wine service training from WSET (at least Level 2)
  • Strong kitchen management, dish prepping, general organisation, health and safety and food safety
  • Some experience in managing a small team
  • Some experience in learning and develop others in the team
  • The ideal candidate must have a can-do attitude and are not afraid to work cross sections - in the kitchen and/or front of house
