Summary

As a Surveyor apprentice you play a vital role in assisting site and project surveyors with tasks related to the commercial function of running a construction project and inputting as part of this team.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Estimating quantities, costs, and time scales for material and labour
  • Preparing tender and contract documents
  • Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards
  • Valuing completed work, managing budgets, and overseeing payments supplier/subcontractor payments
  • Attending meetings
  • Submitting regular budget reports
