What you will do in your working day
Working along side Great Bedwyn's experienced staff your duties will include:
- Inspect and service vehicles
- Maintain a healthy and safe workshop
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs
- Liaise with customers and colleagues on the situation and progress of vehicle repairs
The training you will be getting
- You will receive on site experience working alongside our trained technicians and will also attend Newbury College one day a week during Term Time where you'll complete a mixture of Theory and Practical based lessons/work.
- The Apprenticeship Standard you will be completing is Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (ST0033).
- As well as support and mentoring from your colleagues in the workplace, you will also have teaching staff and a Development Coach from Newbury College who will monitor your progress and support you throughout your Apprenticeship.
- You will have regular reviews and will be required to complete an End Point Assessment (EPA) before you can achieve the Apprenticeship.
- On completion of the Apprenticeship you will have achieved the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Standard qualification
Apprentices without a GCSE Grade 4/C in English and/or Mathematics will need to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills prior to completing their apprenticeship.
